The location is incredible (parallel street from the St. Joseph's Cathedral) and the staff extremely kind and caring. The room was comfortable as well as the bed. The breakfast was good, tasty and with options between tradition and ocidental. They always have fruit (bananas) available so the guests can serve themselves any time. Overall was a good experience.
The hotel is part of a Group of hotels and they share the pictures. This means that the pictures you might see for this hotel are not exactly of this hotel. Also, according to the staff, the pool is currently not available - allegedly for remodeling - and we were not made aware prior to our arrival. In the end they apologized and attended to our needed. However, I suggested to the hotel, when something like this happens, to inform the guests in advance so they can take an informed decision about staying or not - which shows transparency. In any case, Hanoi has so much to see and do that not having a pool (even with a toddler) was not the end of the world.

We ended up getting upgraded and moved to the Solis hotel which was spectacular. So hard to write about splendid physical site since we were not in the building .

Was charged 5% on a card payment when in other places I have stayed in Vietnam I have paid 3%. Not sure why?

The location is very good, walking distance to old quarter, nice restaurants and cafes all around. Manager is attentive and trying to sort out issues we have brought
They advertise a swimming pool that it IS NOT located at their property. You need to walk outside on the street scorted by them to another hotel 5-7 min away. I feel this is important to mention and Booking should have a look at this. I would not stayed here have I known. Breakfast was unfortunately cold and property is in need pf renovation.
