The location was fantastic , 2 minutes from the beach, Smurf cafe right next door best breakfast and wisewellness yoga right on your doorstep . The property was very well maintained and the staff amazing .

I stayed after Calabash 2025; please see earlier review. Stay here, you will love it!

I came from the States to stay at Demaroys for the Calabash literary festival and beyond, and it could not have been more perfect. Walking distance to the Calabash site, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Next door to Smurf's, the best breakfast place in the area, and right across the street from the beach at Frenchman's, other restaurants, and a small shop for groceries/snacks/etc. The room and bathroom were spotless, and came with great a/c, a small fridge with freezer, hot water, an electric kettle and coffee fixings, and a small balcony for drying towels and enjoying evening breezes. The hosts were ever available and very kind, sharing plums and mangoes, the occasional run into Black River for groceries, and a pick up from Luana, as well as connecting me with excellent and affordable drivers to and from Montego Bay. Because it was so hot already that time of year, the small pool was a lifesaver for me for cooling down when it became shaded in the afternoon. WiFi was persistent, and the hosts were quick to respond to any query. My cousins came from Kingston for a weekend and loved it too. I cannot recommend Demaroys highly enough!

The proximity to the beach and the breakfast restaurant (Smurfs) were very very good!

Stayed 3 nights & the room and the bathroom were never cleaned. We had to make our own bed and ask for fresh towels.
