The owners were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. They helped us to find restaurants in the local area as well as booking them for us. Breakfasts were beautifully cooked and was a great opportunity to try some of the local produce.

オーナー様ご夫婦にとても親切にしていただきました。
遅い時間のチェックインにもかかわらず車で迎えに来ていただいたり、
観光のアドバイスをいただいたり、短い滞在時間でしたが
とても楽しく過ごすことができました。
おかげでバイクをレンタルしてしまなみ海道を走るという、
忘れられない体験ができました。
お部屋は2階まるごと1フロアを使うことができ、
リビングと寝室は広々としていて、一人で使わせていただくのは
もったいないくらいでした。
全体的にお手入れ・お掃除が行き届いていて清潔で快適でした。
フレンドリーな仲良しご夫婦とかわいいワンちゃんのおかげで、
初めて来たのに何だか親戚の家に遊びに来たかのようでした。
今度はもっとゆっくりと滞在して、向島をいろいろ回りたいなと思います。

We had a truly wonderful stay at しまの宿 Island Country Inn. Junko and Yuji are quite simply the best hosts we have ever stayed with. They were incredibly warm, kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived, greeting us with a lovely, refreshing cold tea after our journey.
The breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs and bacon, toast, fruit juice and a hot drink. Everything was fresh, generous and beautifully prepared.
Junko and Yuji were also very helpful with our plans to cycle the Shimanami Kaido. They advised us about bike hire and drove us to the bike rental shop in the morning.
We especially enjoyed our sporting chats with Yuji, who is an avid football supporter. With the World Cup taking place during our stay, there was plenty to talk about, and it made our time there feel even more friendly and personal.
This is the perfect accommodation for anyone cycling the Shimanami Kaido, whether staying before the ride, afterwards or both. The room was comfortable and beautifully cared for, but it was Junko and Yuji’s exceptional hospitality that made our stay so memorable. We cannot recommend Island Country Inn highly enough.
