The access instructions were well described and the host was very nice. You can walk to the city centre in about 20 minutes. The room was minimalistic, but offered everything we needed.

The location was great… just off the main bus line or just a long walk to downtown and the Byward Market. The contactless check-in process was awesome: they just sent me the door codes and I didn’t have to make arrangements to see anyone or arrive at a certain time.
The only big problem was that there wasn’t hot water for my last two days. The first time, I assumed that another guest had used it all and wasn’t too upset, so didn’t even mention it. When it was ice cold the next day (right before check-out), I was much more annoyed! The staff were very kind, and did say that they would look into it and I’m sure it won’t be a problem in the future, but still… They also only gave me two small towels for four days, and didn’t seem to have more available — I probably could have asked. There are a lot of stains on the rugs throughout the house, but it is old, so to be expected perhaps.

Close to where I had to go
The air conditioner leaked and I had water all over the floor
The other people in the building were always slamming doors and the pillows were old and cheap. It looks very sketchy from the outside.
