A nightmare of a travel from Toronto to Sao Miguel. Flight diverted to Terceira and stuck there for two and a half days. Spent that time checking flight status and exchanging messages with my host. Maria has been phenomenal during this ordeal. She and her crew stayed in touch with me during those 60 hours, checking flights, maps and updating me probably every 30 minutes. When I finally landed on Sao Miguel, Maria's brother was waiting at the airport, gave me a ride to the apartment and then to the car rental place in Ponta Delgada. I have rented many times through VRBO but never have I had such an amazing and caring host. During our stay, we were in constant communication with our host who made several recommendations for places to visit and for rrestaurants to enjoy local specialties. I cannot but wholeheartedly recommend this place and host.

Very responsive host. Apartment was very clean, well stocked with everything needed and location is perfect. Beach is across the street, bar/restaurants at the ground floor and close to the city.

The apartment was much brighter than the pics might have you believe and the location was great if you have a car - right on the beach with easy access to the entire island as the motorway runs just on the other side - snacks and dinner walkable but so easy to drive too. Would definitely stay here again.
