This place was the highlight of our accommodations during our 3 weeks in the Croatia/Bosnia area. The apartment was so lovely, and the ceilings looked to be 14 or 15 ft high! The space was well appointed and had everything we needed. We found it way more impressive than the photos provided in Booking.com. We were in Sarajevo when the temperatures reached 35degC, but the AC worked flawlessly so we were very comfortable. Though the entrance to the building is on a busy road with bustling bars in the evening, this apartment is on the backside, so we did not hear any of that noise and we slept so well on the comfy bed. I’m a very light sleeper so this was welcome! The views from this top floor apartment are lovely! We would have made more use of the little balcony, but it was too hot. The central location had us an easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Our host, Semir, contacted us prior to our visit to make sure we had everything we needed to check in. He was so helpful and quick to respond to all my questions. The only glitch is well noted in the Booking.com write-up so it came as no surprise, it is on the top floor and there is no elevator. The 110 steps can be daunting for many, especially with luggage. My husband and I are in our 60s, fit, and we had no issues. I'm not even putting in this in the "we didn't like" category, because it was great exercise! Also comforting is the lighting as we ascended the stairs and the very secure gating to the apartment itself. If we return to Sarajevo, this will be my FIRST pick for accommodation! I would rate it more than 10 stars if I could!
When you first enter the building at the ground floor, it is pretty sketchy and dark (photo provided). But don't worry, as you go up each floor, it gets nicer and nicer. Looking at the details, it is obvious that this was a very grand and beautiful building in its day.

Great location and a fantastic apartment - really well equipped. Semir, the host, is a true gentleman and was very easy to communicate with. No problems with recommending this as a place to stay.
One thing to bear in mind is the apartment is on the 4th floor with no lift. But that is a very minor point given the excellent apartment and service from Semir. But it may be a relevant point for those with accessibility needs.
