The property was in an amazing location for exploring the golden circle and the house itself is gorgeous! There are four bedrooms, and while most of the bedrooms are small, they were more than sufficient for our needs. It was actually very child friendly, which was great for us traveling with our 16 month old. They provided a portable crib and they actually had two chairs available for us to use, though we only needed one. They also had toys and games like magnetic triangles to build with so those were fun. There was a full kitchen, including a dishwasher for washing bottles, so that was very handy for us. There’s also a washer and dryer. The hot tub was amazing for relaxing at the end of the day too! The only downside about the hot tub is that you do have to wait for it to fill which takes about an hour. It’s not like a hot tub in the US that uses chlorine and is always filled and ready to go. You have to turn on the water to it in the laundry room and actually the hot water wasn’t working for some reason when we first arrived, and though I messaged about it, I didn’t actually get help. My husband was just able to troubleshoot it and get it working on his own.
The issue with the hot water out first was a little frustrating but thankfully, my husband got it working pretty quickly. I’m not sure how the host would’ve handled it eventually because someone was very responsive to answering my messages through Booking.com but they just said that they had to reach out to the host so we had gotten it working ourselves before the host responded.

It’s was bigger than we expected and the views were beautiful. The hot was clean and very easy to use. It had a well equipped kitchen and a great shower/bathroom.
It was a bit dusty but that is being very picky. Generally clean and tidy.

Stunning house with very nice architecture in the north area of Reykholt, then not affected by light pollution. Super comfortable beds and a lovely living room with huge windows and great view on the countryside. Perfect base for exploration of the area, activities and handy position even to reach farther places in the south, or Landmannalaugar and Kjolur. The hot tub makes it a memorable time after fantastic dinners with lovely atmosphere
I would just add a colander (we're italian...) and a microwave, but these are really a minor issue. When we tried to interact, we got reply by a remote handler. Sometimes a direct contact with owners is nicer, but not that we ever had issues.
