Competent, friendly, patient staff, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds and great pillows! A pleasant pool and big, hot hot-tub! A pretty courtyard and good AC. A convenient and safe location. It is a good value and I definitely recommend you stay here.
The only downside is...
when booking you don't see that the hotel is undergoing (much needed!) renovations. There are temporary inconveniences and aesthetic shortcomings, including some daytime banging around.
For example, the restaurant is now being renovated (great!) and so is closed. The lobby is old and funky, the elevators tired...all of which is fine. I just think guests should know that ahead of time and perhaps a small discount is in order while this is going on.
But the floor we stayed on has already been refreshed. Everything was new, smelled nice, and the rooms were very spacious.
I would stay here again for the friendly staff and their outstanding breakfast alone. Thank you, Holiday Inn Rancho Cordova! So interested to see your new look next time we pass through.

This property is under maintenance but the staff is doing everything they can to keep customers happy. The hallway carpet is dated and the rooms need renovations. The hotel is working on it, but it is clean. I like the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. Breakfast was optional, but it is cooked to ordered. The cost of the breakfast is worth the price due to food inflation. I did not use the pool, but it appears clean and ready for use.
