The hotel is situated just by the Munster in the old town and couldn’t be better placed. The hotel is beautiful and very old but well maintained. It has so much character. There was fresh fruit in the room on arrival. The staff were very cheerful and helpful and a total pleasure. The breakfast in the attached restaurant was superb. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to visit it again.

The hotel was amazing in the town center. The room was clean and large. The market every day was such a great experience. The restaurant couldn’t be any better. I recommend it

Lovely stay with view onto the cathedral . Really tasty breakfast . The two hotel gentlemen could not have been more kind and helpful with late booking in advice ,dealing with IT issues and the thoughtful extra provision of tea !
We would definitely return to this hotel .

A comfortable and friendly place right next to Marktplatz in Freiburg Altstadt. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The neighbourhood was quiet at night, but there was a fair bit of noise from about 7 am as shopkeepers started to set up market stalls. The area was a delight to walk through, and it was also wonderful to see how many people arrived and departed on the frequent trams that travelled along the narrow streets.
