Familienkurztrip nach Freiburg

Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Gehminuten vom Marktplatz entfernt. Das Personal sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Hatten 2x Comfortzimmer Die Betten sehr gemütlich und groß.

Da die Terrasse nicht immer aufgeschlossen war musste man direkt vor dem Hoteleingang rauchen, das war nicht sehr schön. Das Frühstück war sehr teuer, Obst noch nicht reif (bitter, hart, sauer). Die Zimmer sehen auf den Bildern größer aus als in Wirklichkeit. Wir (2) sind uns etwas auf den Füßen gestiegen. Trotz Comfortzimmer für einen Aufenthalt im Hotelzimmer unpraktisch zu klein. Auf den Bildern sind häufig Badewannen abgebildet. Wir hatten leider keine.

Der Aufenthalt war schön. Die Sauberkeit ist teils zu bemängeln.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr nahe an der Altstadt. Das Personal an der Reception war sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer hatte eine schöne kleine Badewanne. Die Nasszelle war sauber.

Die Bettwäsche war nicht ganz sauber. An beiden Morgen um ca. 9 Uhr waren die Putzkräfte sehr laut.

Mehr als nur ein Zwischen Stop ...

Wegen Durchreise war ich nur eine Nacht dort. Nächstes Mal bleibe ich länger. Sehr freundliches Personal, unkompliziertes Ein- und Auschecken, ausgedehnte Frühstückszeiten und reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet.

Beim nächsten Mal würden wir wieder im Stadthotel Freiburg übernachten!

Wir haben ein Upgrade für ein Zimmer mit Badewanne bekommen :-) Das Frühstück war auch super!

Location is excellent but needs work on customer service

Location. Close to Old Town.

Room not ready at checkin time. Kept being told "5 minutes" until it was ready one hour later. The toilet door did not close properly and the room was hot at night. There was a fan but it made more noise than a night club with poor acoustics. I understand that staffing is a problem but be honest with your customers - we can be understanding if presented with the real situation!

Location excellent rooms great breakfast great. Just needed more staff at desk at busy times.

Location room and ease of parking was great! Breakfast beautiful but also close to bakery and cafes.

No tea or coffee in rooms !! Staff on desk were inundated with lines of people at check in. It was a slow process but they remained calm and caring. Needed more staff at that time as guests were getting angry at the time it was taking to speak to someone. Our room was not ready at check in and we sat for an hour and a half waiting. Was very busy !!

Rooms look completely different!

It‘s very close to the center.

The rooms are not like advertised, which is deceiving and disappointing at best. The hotel is extremely dated and beds are utterly uncomfortable. Not worth the money.

A gem in Freiburg

My husband and I really enjoyed our short stay in Stradthotel. We arrived very late (almost midnight) but they still welcomed us very warmly. Large rooms and shower. Very good b'fast with cold cuts, bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs, sausages, cereals, yoghurt, fruit salad, slices of fruit, fruits, you can make your own smoothies/juices and waffles, orange juice (packet), very good coffee, teas, jams, Nutella, cakes, all types of fresh bread (buns, loaves brown and white). You can also ask for coffee on the go. Daily housekeeping and really nice helpful staff. They try to accommodate you with everything you ask (we asked for a kettle and they provided it to us along with 2 cups). One of the best hotels I have stayed in.

If I may suggest 2 things, please change the pillows. I had to put in a towel to sleep. And another coffee machine in the b'fast room will be better than one. But I wouldn't change my rating because of this slight inconvenience.

Parking was off site and a bit of a nuisance but not a deal breaker.

Good location for exploring the city centre, only a 15min walk to the main train station.

Even though we booked last minute, we received a message the day prior to our arrival that the hotel is undergoing renovations and we would be rebooked to their affiliate hotel across the street. While fine, it seems odd that they wouldn’t have known about the renovations at the time of booking, a week before. upon arrival there was mud in the bathroom, which we mentioned to the front desk staff right away and were told someone would take a look the next day. After returning to the room that next day, the mud had still not been removed, even though the bathroom/room had been cleaned…
