We were so pleasantly surprised about everything, especially the proprietors Dave and Joyce. This property is a typical, old 1950s Motor Inn on the old Camino Real. Make no mistake, it is not near the beach, but it has an intended “surfers vibe” and sits right on the Green line of the free San Clemente trolley line that runs every 15 minutes to the Califino Beach or the San Clemente pier and all points in between.
The room was super clean, parking was right out front, and the proprietors went way out of their way to accommodate us. There were several restaurants and bars within walking distance. We highly recommend Hapa J’s for the evening. For breakfast DO NOT MISS Roses restaurant next door.
The property has an open kitchen room that features a coffee-pod coffee maker, a small ice machine, microwave, and several coffee amenities. There is a refrigerator in each room but no microwave.
This is a no-frills place but had a great character and we enjoyed it immensely.

Parking in front of motel door. There was lots of freeway noise during the night. I probably noticed because I'm a light sleeper. Everything else was great. Clean room and comfortable bed.

Cute surfing-style and clean room, helpful and efficient staff, parking in front of the room. AC and wi-fi. Restaurants within walking distance. Kitchen available for making coffee and basic cooking.
