The room was spacious and included a small kitchenette, which was a nice feature. The hotel was generally clean and well maintained, although I did find a hair in the shower. Not a major issue, but worth mentioning.
The location is a bit off the beaten path. You'll likely need to drive to most places, even areas that appear relatively close on the map. There is also a bus stop directly in front of the hotel that tended to attract a less desirable crowd at times.
The hotel has great energy and design in the lobby and common areas, though that atmosphere doesn't carry through quite as strongly into the guest rooms. Overall, it was a good stay and offered good value. It was too cold during our visit to use the pool, so I can't comment on that amenity.

I loved this hotel. I could live there. It was gorgeous. Tastefully and beautifully decorated. Comfortable with many seating options where you could socialize, have a drink, or simply relax, amongst beauty and charm. The staff was delightful and kind and answered any questions I had with ease and Grace. They went out of their way to make sure you were taken care of. The pool was gorgeous. The bar served exquisite drinks and the hotel itself is in an excellent location. Off the beaten path so very quiet, but also very close to the activities, shops, and restaurants of South Congress. I will definitely stay here again when traveling to Austin and will look for similar hotels in different cities. Exceptional.

What a great, little-known secret hotel. Don't judge by the lack of curb appeal. The rooms are great, large, open, full kitchen and even tea kettles. Real coffee cups and silverware and plates. I would absolutely stay here again.
