Good cheaper motel

At my request, the desk clerk gave me the quietest room available: one with no one above it or beside it. Before giving me the keycard, he asked if I would use the refrigerator. When I said I would, he told me that the refrigerator in that room had been removed for repairs, so he would bring a replacement. He soon did, cheerfully.

The bed was fine and comfortable. Room was mostly clean. However I opened the floor mat and it was dirty. Whatever, then the shower was broken. Like I could have taken a bath, but yeah, not in a hotel. So I grabbed a wash rag for a sponge bath and it had hair on it.
I told the front desk and he seemed unconcerned
Breakfast was waffle and toast.
