About this apartment rental
Our modern apartment has a separate entrance, keypad lock for self check-in and 40 Mbps Wifi. Filled with sunlight, unique art, and amenities, other nice touches here include pale hardwood floors, a reading nook and a kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals for four. Our home is steps from dozens of restaurants that serve takeout and a 15 min walk from the beach for sunsets.
We follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. We live upstairs if you need anything. Our space has 6'4” ceilings and you may occasionally hear our footsteps.
The apartment has two bedrooms, each with queen beds. It has a complete kitchen, including a stove/oven, blender, microwave, coffee grinder, french press, pots & pans and table settings for 4. It also has a washer/dryer. In the bathroom, there is a 72 inch tub for long soaks. The ceiling height is 6 feet 3 inches throughout the apartment and slightly less at the entry doorway. We live upstairs and you will likely hear the occasional footstep (it isn't a cottage in the woods). Street parking is usually found within a block of the unit.
You have access to the entire apartment with a separate entrance. The unit has a keypad lock and you will have your own code for the duration of your stay. There are no common spaces.
We live upstairs and, if we aren't around for questions, are usually a text message away. We honor quiet time from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am and expect you to as well. Our neighbors who face the unit are sensitive to noise.
Choose from dozens of proprietor-owned restaurants, with Burma Superstar a particular recommendation. Together with bookstores, cafes, and the historic Alameda Theater, they're all just a short stroll away, while the beach is a 15-minute walk.
San Francisco is accessible via a casual carpool 1 block away in the morning, the OSX bus 1 block away and the Fruitvale BART station, which is a short taxi ride or 20 minute walk. The Alameda Ferry Terminal is a short drive for hops over to San Francisco or Oakland's Jack London Square.
The Oakland Airport is a 5 minute drive away. SFO takes about 40 minutes driving (depending on traffic) or 50 minutes on BART.
There is usually plenty of street parking (though please watch the street cleaning days).

Exceptional communication with owner and a bright, clean and modern place to stay in friendly neighborhood close to Oakland airport. I was there ‘chaperoning’ my mother and her friend on the way back from visiting the Sonoma wine country.

Alameda is terrific - this place is 2 blocks from the main shopping/dining street and we took advantage! Lots of solid dining and shopping options, for kids too (great toy store, a small arcade, clothing, Tuckers ice cream), and a park 1 block from the house.
The unit was really clean and comfortable for my teen and I; we each had our own comfy bedroom, the living room was nice having an eat in kitchen was perfect for us. The bathroom is a little cramped, and the water pressure is quite low for running a bath, but workable.
The kitchen/bath area ceiling is about 6'3", so if you're tall just know that part.
Overall, very lovely and "city" quiet (it's a city and there's a fire station nearby, but all that's expected), relatively easy street parking (be careful of street cleaning days), awesome walkability and honestly much nicer than staying downtown SF - worth the drive/public transportation into the city for sure.

Very nice property that’s conveniently located a few steps away from the best spots in Alameda! In less than a minute you could be eating a magnificent burger from Scolaris or enjoying an espresso from Highwire. Place is amazing, you’ve got 2 ferry’s to boat over to SF so you dont have to deal with traffic…great and friendly host!
