I chose this hotel to be near the racecourse. It is 30sec away. There is one even nearer but it is a Holiday Inn Express.
Potential guests should understand this is an 'unstaffed' hotel. No kitchen, no meals and no concierge. You have a keypad for the main door and another one for your room. You let yourself in and out.
And there is a machine where you can leave a tip!
The building appears to have been converted from a large terraced house in a side street. The quality of my room was very good with modern features, nice shower and inevitably it was quiet.
I was arriving early evening, going out for dinner, sleeping and leaving at 0800 so was perfectly adequate. But it isn't a 'full-service' hotel.

Not what we had expected but a pleasant stay. This is not a hotel but rather a room in a town-house. The room was modern, clean and we'll furnished. Very close to all Chester's main attractions. We enjoyed our stay.

Loved the room itself! Recently renovated. Beautiful bathroom. Great shower. Comfortable bed. But bed rather small. And very hot in room upon arrival. Barely cooled down with fan on high. Door did not latch properly, but finally got it figured out. NO staff. Very odd. Completely self-check in. Was ok after finally figuring things out. But odd. Room great once we got settled though.
