Our family stay in Casa dis Castanheiros with our 2 little kids was excellent, Chloé and Maxime really made us feel at home the entire stay:
- super attentive and anticipating our needs in advance
- the house was really clean and well maintained
- the vents in the rooms and the dehumidifier were excellent to stay comfortable with the humid and higher temperatures
- watching the chickens in the back garden became a daily activity for our toddler
- the breakfast was very good and served in the beautiful balcony

Chloe and Maxime are the best hosts anyone could ask for!
They truly enjoy hosting and make guests feel like old friends while still ensuring comfort and privacy.
As a solo traveler, I was hesitant to hike alone, so Chloe kindly joined me on the Mistérios Negros Trail, since she happened to be free that first day, showed me several other well-known attractions. She also took me to see the bullfight at their village when there’s the 201 years anniversary celebration of Terra Cha.
The casa is well maintained and very comfortable, and it had the best shower of my entire Azores trip, where I stayed in five hotels across three islands.
Animal lovers will also enjoy the lovely hens in the garden and their 3 adorable cats.
Please don’t forget to try their fresh prepared and delicious breakfast every morning!
It was an idyllic experience at the casa. I would definitely like to come back and highly recommend it!
