Good enough, nothing special but everything you need for a short stay. Hosr was very reactive on chat which was helpful when I followed google maps to the wrong location.
Free breakfast was a 6min walk away.

The location right by the train station is excellent. The room also features a small balcony and a bidet.
The check-in process was a real test of patience. Even though I completed the online check-in in advance, I was told I would receive the access code only upon arrival. Once there, it took a frustrating 30 minutes over WhatsApp just for them to find my reservation. This kind of digital bureaucracy after a long journey is extremely annoying. Additionally, the room is very noisy as the headboard of the bed shares a wall with the kitchen. The bed itself is quite narrow, and the blanket is just a thin bedsheet, which seems typical for Italy.
Conclusion: This experience reflects the current touristification of Catania. The center is being flooded with impersonal holiday rentals while professional service falls by the wayside. In the end, this profit-driven mass handling hurts both locals on the housing market and paying guests.
