This seaside boulevard hotel is impeccable. It only has six rooms so one must be lucky to book a room at high season here. The room design is next to perfect. The balcony is excellent for morning coffee and evening wine. A wardrobe closet is almost the size of a room at certain Italian hotels :-)
Food is great.
Soundproofing is generally good but it doesn't protect 100% against loud evening street music and modified car exhausts. Both of these, however, end rather early as the city apparently enforces tight night-time noise rules.
The plumber mixed between C and H letters on sink taps. Presumably he thought H means "holodnaya". These are correct in the shower though.
My wife thinks that the room chandeliers don't match the overall retro design theme.
It may be non-trivial for some guests to find the power cable hidden inside the kettle base.
Last but not least: keyless door locks are supposed to have their entry codes changed for each new guest for proper security. However, by good old Soviet tradition where doorkeys were normally stored under outside entrance mats, the entry codes are hard printed on room cards which don't look single-use ;-)

Retro Boutique Hotel is one of the most stunningly beautiful hotels I've stayed in.
The interior — the furniture, the décor, every detail — is gorgeous. And the view of the Black Sea from the balcony is simply breathtaking. I slept like a baby and woke up to that view. Hard to beat.
Ana is a sweetheart — kind, patient, helpful, and a wonderful conversationalist.
Gio, who worked the night shift, was equally warm and went out of his way to help me when I had trouble getting into my room one night.
Highest recommendation. I'll absolutely be back.
