Nice breakfast, spacious bathroom, great AC. Enjoyed seeing some wildlife pass by the windows too.
Extra large double beds seem to be the standard offering in Sri Lanka and this was the only double bed of the trip, perhaps because the room would have been too cramped otherwise. The location is a bit far out from the Sigiriya restaurants etc but only a short Tuktuk ride away (though it can take a while for a driver to accept/come get you from the property). Although temporary, they are busy expanding / renovating a second floor to the property and unfortunately one morning they started construction work at about 7:30am but it stopped not long after I messaged the property manager and we could sleep again.

Beautiful hotel, great wooden doors, huge toilet. The owner is so nice, always taking care of you. He helps us with our laundry, to arrange our safari and transportation to Trinco. Breakfast is included!
The road to the center of town can be dark at night, so bring a flashlight if you plan to go out for dinner.

Delicious breakfast
Comfortable room, hot shower and AC, has mosquito nets although we didn’t actually need to use them!
Close to the main road, short tuk tuks (10 mins) to Lion Rock and slightly further to Pidurangala Rock.
Beautiful property and peaceful area, views of the hills around.

Such a cozy and relaxing place to stay! Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and took such good care of us throughout our stay.
We visited for our anniversary, and they had beautifully decorated our room, which was such a lovely surprise. They really went above and beyond to make our stay special, and we truly appreciated all the little details and effort.
The room had everything we needed, including hot water and good air conditioning. Breakfast was amazing — fresh fruits and a delicious local breakfast with very generous portions. You definitely won’t leave hungry!
The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing, while the location is still very convenient and close to the main road, making it easy to get around.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and felt very well looked after. A cozy, clean, and welcoming place that we would happily recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay. ❤️
