About this apartment rental
Find your bliss in this lovely, *quiet* forest retreat! A mere 5 minute drive to the downtown plaza, this private, 400 sq ft suite has comfortable amenities, tasteful ambiance, and a very accommodating host to offer local recommendations. The suite is attached to a home, but securely sectioned off to have its own entrance with plenty of privacy. The bedroom has a very comfortable memory foam queen-sized bed with quality linens, a smart TV, lots of natural light and well-loved plants. It connects to a full bathroom with a shower and basic toiletries. The second bedroom has a very comfortable twin memory foam bed with a kitchenette (not full kitchen) and a dining area. Mini-fridge, microwave, counter-top oven/toaster, electric kettle, and a Keurig for making coffee are all included, along with dishes, glasses, basic food prep-ware, coffee and tea supplies. The wifi is strong for all your streaming and online needs. Arcata Forest Retreat also boasts its own private, small patio at the entrance with a soothing fountain, seating, and a propane fire pit. This suite does share some walls, so we require and honor "quiet hours" from 9pm-9am.
From this house you can walk 5 minutes to amazing hike/bike trails, drive 5 minutes to downtown Arcata/Cal Poly Humboldt, drive 10 minutes to Arcata Marsh and Humboldt Bay, or 15 minutes to a variety of pristine beaches. Humboldt is all about NATURE: Hike, bike, surf, raft, kayak, paddle board. Finish your active day with excellent restaurants/bars/entertainment downtown.
This property has outdoor security cameras (outward facing only) located at the top of the driveway and on the private back patio of this unit.

Better than advertised! City? Country? Where am I? Two deer came right by the sliding glass door entrance to greet us shortly after arrival. Conveniently located. Great communication by host. Super clean! Attention to detail really shines through with this one. The best night’s sleep I’ve had on this trip through Northern California.

We had a very nice stay in the convenient neighborhood of Sunnybrae, at the edge of Arcata CA. Communication with our host was excellent as was the clean and well equipped studio.

This was a perfect resting spot for my daughter and I. I wouldn't recommend it for more than 2 people as it is quite a compact space. The beds were extremely comfortable and the space was very clean. There was space on the counter for all your coffee and snacking needs and the mini fridge held our leftovers just right. Great central location for beautiful hikes and great food. Extra responsive host who was very helpful. Ask about her other rentals that are meant for different sized groups. The only thing that feels a bit odd is not having access to a "kitchen" sink but not at all a concern with all of the other amenities. It was too chilly when we visited to enjoy the outdoor space but it was darling and the walks through the neighborhood were fabulous with forested and ocean views!

Lovely place and just the right size for two people. Private and quiet. Super comfortable bed. Good location for walking to a few key places nearby. As seniors, it was a bit tricky to follow the rule to take shoes off outside and leave them outside (as opposed to taking them off on the mat immediately after entering), as it was difficult to then lift our bags in/out the door without getting damp/cold socks; but we managed! Would definitely stay here again.
