Quiet, peaceful location with excellent facilities. Cabin was homely and comfortable with high levels of cleanliness. It was thoughtfully designed, a perfect getaway.
Could do with an inside doormat due to access being through a field but other than that there is no improvements of note.

Absolutely LOVED our little break.
10 minutes drive from Cayton Bay, 20 minutes to Scarborough and the best chippy tea we've had in ages from Capplemans. The log fire and air fryers were perfect solution for a wet holiday where we'd hoped to have a BBQ. Watching trains pass by at the bottom of the garden (far enough away to be quiet but you hear them coming so the kids can know to watch).
The cabin smelled like log fire and so every time we came home it just felt cosy and home like. Absolutely loved our time here and would definitely like to go back.
I put corkscrew stakes in the ground so that our dogs could sit out at points (my dog likes to get up early and sit in the garden in the morning and wanted to do the same whilst we were here). It damaged the ground and I felt a bit worried that where I'd placed them might not suit other guests etc. My only thought was that it might be helpful to have some stakes by each cabin so that people know where to attach their dogs and know that they're solid in the ground.
I think that's prob testament to how lovely this site is though, I'm grasping for ways to make it slightly more wonderful.
The toilets were super clean and lovely but there were so many on site i wondered why there wasn't just one per cabin. Absolutely zero issues with shared facilities though, there were quite a few of us on site and we never knew whether the loo had been used or had an issue getting access.
