1 Bed Suite - Sleeps 2 Patio Parking & Wifi

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by what we affectionately called the “pixie door,” we knew we’d found somewhere special. The apartment had everything we needed for our 10-night visit and was beautifully presented, featuring a very comfortable large bed, a spacious bathroom, an excellent shower and well-equipped kitchenette facilities including a kettle, microwave and fridge. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the sunny terrace each morning, listening to the birds of prey overhead - a peaceful and relaxing way to start the day. The location was ideal - just a five minute walk into St Aubin and a bus stop right outside, making it easy to explore Jersey without a car (we also had a hire car and parking was available at the property - would just recommend hiring a small car as a bit tight at times but perfectly manageable!)

It’s just worth noting there are 25 steps up to the property from the carpark, which can be a bit of a struggle with suitcases or anyone with mobility issues, but absolutely worth it once you get there!

The location was excellent, just a short walk to the harbour. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very modern.

The sloping ceilings caught us out a couple of times but we just learnt to pay attention.

It was very Quaint and charming . It felt like a holiday place which is what we are after .

Was a bit disappointed that we had to sweep the cobwebs away from garden furniture and it needed a good brush outside which isn’t what you expect to have to do on a holiday let alone.

Unfortunately, this property wasn’t as described and didn’t feel properly equipped as a holiday rental. The kitchen is a temporary/mobile setup and there was a persistent smell of blocked drains. The dishwasher didn’t work, which we reported to the host. He offered to send someone to look at it, and I replied to his message within a couple of hours while we were out, but after that we heard nothing further and nobody came. I didn’t feel it was my responsibility to keep chasing the issue while on holiday. The hob is induction, but there were no induction-compatible pans provided, meaning we couldn’t cook properly and had to wash everything by hand because the dishwasher was also broken. Before arriving, I asked whether there was air conditioning. I was told there wasn’t, but that “cooling blankets” were provided instead. Personally, I found this an odd substitute, as these blankets are designed to absorb body heat and I wasn’t comfortable using bedding that previous guests had relied on to cool themselves. A simple fan would have been much more practical. The listing also advertised a washing machine, but we couldn’t find one and weren’t given any information about where it was located. One other thing that felt strange was a mattress positioned downstairs apparently to block access or soundproof the host’s room, which made the setup feel quite makeshift. Overall, the property has potential, but it doesn’t currently feel fully set up or maintained to the standard expected for a holiday rental, particularly given the inaccuracies in the listing and the lack of follow-up after reporting problems.
