Lucas and staff couldn’t do more for you, cannot fault service or hospitality at all - great team. Location is a way from any of the main towns but so picturesque, overlooking the sea in the morning during breakfast (which was included and a big selection to choose from) was lovely.
Rooms are clean, have everything you need, but are incredibly dated and in need of some TLC. It’s an old building with lots of charm, however the cracks are quite literally starting to show. Room wasn’t as I’d remembered at time of booking, but other than the cosmetics it was fine.

The dramatic location, perched just above a small harbour, a sandy beach and a couple of cafes, is great. The courtyard outside the bar is a little suntrap. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food offered in the dining room is fine.
The light and the fan in the en-suite bathroom are switched on automatically when a sensor identifies that the door has been opened even an inch or so. There is no way to avoid this happening. So if you need to use the bathroom during the night, you are certain to trigger the fan, which is noisy and stays on for several minutes after you leave the bathroom and close the door. After we had to use the bathroom in the wee small hours, one after another guests in three other bedrooms got up to use their bathroom, the fan noise seeming to trigger a chain reaction. A similar thing happened again a couple of hours later, interrupting our sleep again. It didn't make for a restful night.

It’s all about the location! The staff were helpful when I needed a taxi.
It was a bit dated but really clean.
The breakfast was lukewarm and not very tasty and 0830 was a bit later start then I would like. It’s quite expensive per night but there’s nowhere else nearby.
