The property is a beautiful 4 storey house, looking over toward Lancaster castle. We used the property as a pit stop on a long journey with our three children.
Brian was very friendly and helpful when contacted over messages. Lots of little extras that make life easier - a pint of milk in the fridge: coffee, sugar, tea and even toiletries
Not a criticism just a suggestion that maybe you could make a small basket of ladies sanitary items in the bathroom

The location is brilliant, right next to the castle in the middle of Lancaster. The property is quite quirky, spread over four storeys with the kitchen in the basement and the bathroom on the second floor. The shower was good. For £165 for three of us for one night it was excellent value although with a bit more attention to detail e.g. some information about things to do in Lancaster, some more pictures on the walls downstairs, spending more on cleaning etc., they could charge a lot more.
When you walk in it smells a bit damp. A room diffuser or similar would really help. Also the toilet flush needs to be fixed and the place was not very clean. There were biscuit crumbs on the floor and the carpets hadn't really been hoovered. One of the beds the sheets didn't seem to have been changed as there were some hairs and stains on it. That was the one at the front of the top floor. The second room on the top floor the bed looked clean but the duvet cover was 100% polyester which made it very sweaty to sleep under. Cotton or poly cotton like the other beds would be better. The beds are quite narrow for doubles.

Didn't have breakfast
Didn't use breakfast as we didn't arrive until 3pm and checked out before 11am. The kitchen smelt bit musty and when did decide to have brew the teabags that were there were mouldy and sugar in cupboard was hard

Steep steps down to the kitchen and a low ceiling. Banged my head a few times
