The location and the cleanliness.
Ring main for the sockets had tripped. Thankfully, easily sorted by a trip downstairs where the lady who gave us the keys, phoned the owner.

Room was spotless
Bed was very comfy
And shower was excellent
Bird poop on window (cant be helped)
Had to plug in nxt to bed as so other plug socket and unfortunatly bar closed before we got back from out evening meal (20:45ish)

Nice location and quiet at night even though the little pub was below which shut at 10pm. Fantastic shower
Attention to basic things as this is a badic accommodation. No shower gel even though there were holders in the cubicle for it. 4 tiny little shampoo and conditioners which we could do without in favour of a body/shampoo in the shower. Two almost empty Carex hand was in the bathroom. Nothing to wash your face with like a small bar of diap that almost every place offers complimentary. A broken and dirty venetian blind with slats missing. The bedding I think smelt clean but worn out and needing binned and replaced. You can buy duvet covers and sheets so cheaply at most big supermarkets and no pillow protectors. Thats a big No from me. Yuck!
We searched for the bathroom light switch before realising it didn't exist .it operated with movement sensor and didn’t switch of for sometime so a bit annoying during the night.
I wouldn't return to the Coadtal Inn. I hope they make these basic improvements as it would take very little money and effort for this place to offer the expected basic comforts for an overnight stay
