The lodge was very nice and clean and modern. The Hot tub was a very unique way it worked. Iceland does not have any jets in their hot tubs, which we found great. The hot tub was always clean water which was controlled by a pump inside the lodge. (No buttons on actual hot tub) Beds very comfortable.
Plenty of supplies, towels, toilet rolls etc etc.
Cleanliness was very good.
During our stay, we had extreme weather. The owners were very good in keeping communication with us.
We were disappointed as the area was so bright, making it impossible to view the Northern lights. A tomato farm is very close, which makes the sky very bright. Also, the lodge opposite has multiple lights around it, making it very bright.
There was also only 3 bedrooms not the 5 they offer. Plus only 1 bathroom & a separate toilet. Not 2 bathrooms
The road down to the lodge is quite dodgy. Various potholes seemed quite unstable when getting near the top. This may have been due to the weather I'm not sure.
It's not the best location for the price paid. You would be better to stay closer to Selfoss, which is on the 1 road which has better access to everywhere.
We were also disappointed it was our job to take the rubbish to the recycling centre. This was all in Icelandic and we didn't know which box to put it in.
We were also disappointed that the decking had a hole in it and we were not told. This was covered in snow when we arrived. We then worried we had damaged it and found it impossible how we had. We then asked the owner to be told it was like this before we arrived. This could have been very dangerous.
