The owner is amazing and his friends and family to. Unfortunately the lady who runs the place is very unfriendly. The owner asked me to join a hot pot. He told me he has the business for 2 years and he is thai. That is why it does not look brand new and making it new costs more money than the frequently owned hostels by europeands or australians on the island. I love spending my money to people who are local. So for that I would recommend. Also the people that stay there are kind.
The place is very old but clean. But they are trying to fix it bit by bit. Unfortunately there was no way to make hot water for coffee. The fridge was very old. For me the beds were extremely hard thats why I left. But the owner is amazing so if the beds were good and softer not so firm I would have stayed.

It was a last minute booking, but I stayed one night and then moved after wards closer to my friend nearer to lonley beach.
The bathroom was a bit small and could’ve done with an update.
