Although the view from higher floors is beautiful, I personally prefer scenes where people and landscapes blend together from a lower perspective. Because of that, I spent a long time debating between this place and a large apartment directly across from it.
When I first arrived, there were a few things that didn’t quite match my expectations, so I seriously considered leaving and moving to another hotel.
But the next morning, when I stood on the terrace looking at the sunlight reflecting on the lake together with the Civic Center, I realized that my choice had actually been an excellent one.
More than any beautiful tourist attraction in Bariloche, the terrace here and the cozy bed were what made me happiest.
More than any delicious restaurant, I most enjoyed cooking my own meals in this kitchen and spending time on the terrace with a glass of wine.
I was honestly hesitant because of the previous negative reviews about the host, but you will soon realize that she is one of the warmest-hearted people.
I know very well that she truly did her best to make my stay comfortable and to resolve my needs and inconveniences.
This was the cleanest place I visited anywhere in Argentina.
The large dining table, comfortable sofa, soft bedding, and blankets were all wonderful.
Everything you need — supermarkets, bus stops, travel agencies, and more — is very close by.
Even the cathedral is only about a 10-minute walk away, so I could peacefully attend Mass every day. (There are daily Masses at 11 AM and 8 PM.)
I also recommend the chocolate shop downstairs. It is slightly cheaper and tastier than some of the famous places.
The terrace windows are surrounded by large trees, so even with the curtains open, the bedroom still feels very private.
Once you step outside, the lake, sky, Andes mountains, Civic Center rooftops, and plaza unfold beautifully in a panoramic view.
The sunlight during the day fills the apartment with warmth
Unfortunately, the apartment is quite sensitive to noise. From the bed, you can hear the elevator and hallway sounds, and outside there are often loud motorcycles late into the night. One important thing to know is that the Civic Center clock tower rings every 30 minutes. If you are sensitive to sound, you should definitely keep this in mind. I managed well with earplugs.
Also, when getting off the elevator, make sure to turn on the hallway light first. Sometimes the elevator does not stop perfectly aligned with the floor outside.
I will personally share other possible improvements with the host.
