The room was light, airy and well decorated and presented with all the necessary facilities. There was a breakfast hamper well stocked for our stay with high quality produce. The beds were comfortable and the room was pleasantly cool even on a hot summer afternoon.
As an attic style apartment above a stable block, the room necessarily had a sloping ceiling on each side of the centre line. In the ceiling, three quality Velux windows with blackout binds allowed selection of the right level of lighting, ventilation and privacy. This gave the main bedroom and sitting space a light and spacious feel. Opening the door at one gable end provided extra ventilation and a very pleasant view across paddocks and farmland.
The attic roofline makes the kitchenette and bathroom somewhat cramped. The latter would benefit from somewhere to hang wet towels to dry. Access to the room is by external steps leading up to the gable end door. The hand rail to these had some give or wobble, although it did look sufficiently strong and secure.

It was in a lovely location, very peaceful. It was clean, warm, very comfortable and we were supplied with an absolutely brilliant hamper for breakfast. We received a very warm welcome and the house sitter was very helpful.
