We had a fab stay with ‘mama’ rooms were clean and comfortable and the communal kitchen dinner great fun. If you are lucky mama will play her ukulele and sing to you -

We took a risk on a property with only a couple reviews, and it paid off. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with a shared balcony/porch to hang out on, that would probably be really nice an a warm day. The bathrooms were good. The star of the show is the living room/kitchen, which is beautiful, cozy, filled with natural light, has a big comfy table next to the large windows, and is heated by the stove that always seem to be cooking fresh bread. It was a lovely place to hang out, and the drying rack behind the stove was a game changer for our cold, wet hike.
Breakfast and dinner were yummy, and the hosts were nice. The grandmother played music for us and eagerly chatted with us over meals, even though the language barrier
Rooms were a little chilly, but I expect most rooms in town were unheated. There were enough blankets to be very cozy at night.

I had a great time at the Ellie-Elisabeth guest house. It has everything for a wonderful holiday - a cozy bed, delicious home-cooked food, a great view and, most importantly, kind hosts! A really hospitable and kind family!
