My Husband and I had booked the accommodation at Jackton Distillery to attend a Wedding in Eaglesham. Unfortunately the Wedding was cancelled at the last minute. Having booked through Booking.com there was no refund available for cancellation. I called the Distillery and spoke to Katie about our sad predicament. Katie was fantastic and offered a complimentary 164 tour and tasting.
Upon arrival we were given a warm and friendly welcome from the Managing Director.
Our 2 bedroom accommodation was clean, modern and high quality. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated.
The beds were fantastically comfortable.
On the tasting tour, Jethro provided an interesting and very knowledgeable tour. The tasting was excellent with the whiskys, gin or vodka were available to dry with 4 drinks provided in the tour price. Jackton Distillery also make their own citrus mixer to go with their whiskys.
Everything was such good value for money and real treat. I would highly recommend Jackton Distillery and the whole team, particularly Katie who made a sad trip into a special experience.
A must try if you find yourself in this part of the world!
If travelling on public transport there is not a direct bus to the location. You have to walk approx 30 mins from Eaglesham bus stop or Hairmyers train staion or get a taxi.
