The landlady Dora was so lovely. She helped up massively when we had cancelled flights.
The steps at the front of the hotel are very deep and my elderly mother-in-law struggled. The rooms were chilly but Dora provided additional fans.

Dora was lovely, couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was great. Location is superb.
The room was a bit smaller than expected but fine. Dora had moved us to save us climbing to the top of the house.

Location was good. Breakfast was ok but some items could have been warmer. The host was very attentive and helpful and Tommy the chef was very accommodating. Each day when we went down to breakfast the room had been cleaned by the time we got back.
We were disappointed with the room - very small, cramped and dated (a bit like a step back to B&Bs in the 1960s/70s). We were on the 3rd floor - 46 stairs up and no lift, plus 8 very steep/high steps up to the property from the curbside with no apparent disabled access. The double bed was comfortable and all bed linen was decent quality, a king size bed would have been better but would not have fit in the room. The bathroom, although very clean had a damp smell to it, obviously as there was no window and just a small extractor fan.
