Lovely guest house and the owner was amazing. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. On the morning we left we had to be up early at 5Am and we were given food for the road. Couldnt ask for more. Within walking distance near the sea front in Douglas. Able to go shopping sight see and eat nearby. It felt like home on holiday.
Wasn't looking a fancy 4 star hotel. This is an excellent place to stay. However, in Isle of Man parking is always a premimum Yet we had not problem parking right outside or very near by where I could still see my car

The ferry arrived late in Douglas and through Booking.com I contacted the property to let them know I'd be late. The host waited for me to arrive which was after the usual check in time; very much appreciated.
The Athol is centrally located in Douglas and it suited me perfectly.
I was due to check out early before the scheduled breakfast start time but I was able to have some tea, toast and eggs which set me up for my return journey; again, very much appreciated.

Excellent B&B, breakfast was lovely and rooms nice and clean.
Didn't not like but if you had mobility issues out room was a fair few steps up but suppose you could ask for a lower floor.

The location is great, close to the promenade and a short walk to the grandstand to view the races.
