Johari Beach Resort, Kizimkazi Zanzibar

Staying at Johari Beach Resort in Kizimkazi for the last two nights of our holiday in Zanzibar truly made our trip unforgettable. Without a doubt, this is one of the most peaceful, comfortable and welcoming hotels we have ever experienced. From the moment you arrive, you feel at home, surrounded by beautiful facilities and thoughtful touches that make your stay truly special. Our room was ready as soon as we arrived, even before the official check-in time. Throughout our stay, the entire team was incredibly attentive and took such great care of us. Their kindness and genuine hospitality made a real difference. We also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the General Manager, who was extremely friendly and approachable. We had a wonderful conversation about the hotel, its facilities and how it is managed. It was a lovely opportunity to learn more about the resort and the people behind such a beautiful place. We were lucky enough to experience two different types of accommodation. We first stayed in a beautiful two-bedroom apartment with a stunning view of the ocean. Then, for our very last night, we had the incredible opportunity to stay in one of the villas. The villa was simply breathtaking. The view of the ocean is absolutely spectacular, and even the bathroom offers a full sea view! Honestly, it felt like a dream villa — a beautiful private home where you immediately feel comfortable, peaceful and safe. And to make our final evening even more special, we had dinner served privately in our villa. It created such an intimate and magical atmosphere and was the perfect way to end our stay in Zanzibar. Every detail at Johari Beach Resort is designed to make you feel relaxed, cared for and completely disconnected from everyday life. It is the kind of place where you wish you could stay much longer. An exceptional experience, filled with beautiful memories and genuine hospitality.

They need to improve on their food offering, not the best and also train staff that is serving in the restaurant how to speak English for better communication. The water was only hot once, the rest of the days it was cold.

We loved everything about the place, the staffs were amazing. They made us feel so welcome. The resort is so beautiful, it definitely exceeded my expectations. The hospitality was top notch, it was the last place we stayed to rest after so many activities, and frankly it was worth it and more. Extremely responsive staff I must say. I would recommend 100%!
