Be Zanzibar is one of those places that you don’t just visit — you leave with a real connection to it.
The staff are absolutely amazing. Everyone makes you feel genuinely welcome, and the service is personal without ever losing the feeling of a luxury experience.
A special mention has to go to Camille, the manager, who genuinely goes out of her way to make sure your stay is exceptional. You can feel how much she cares about every guest and every detail.
And then there’s Tareek and his family. Having them around gives Be Zanzibar something very special — a sense of warmth, closeness and authenticity that is difficult to find in a luxury hotel. Somehow, they have created the perfect balance between feeling at home and being completely looked after.
You arrive as a guest, but you leave feeling like you’ve discovered a little family in Zanzibar.
You will leave Be Zanzibar in love with the country, the people and the place — and I can almost guarantee you’ll want to come back. ❤️🇹🇿

Located in tranquil Jambiani this hotel is truly a place to unwind and relax. The staff is incredibly charming and helpful, the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The breakfast ist delicious with great quality, they even offer plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, coffee is available with soya or coconut milk. We also had dinner at the restaurant which was amazing! The pool area is spacious and even though the hotel was fully booked it didn't feel crowded at all. The hotel doesn't serve alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own. We loved watching the tide come and go from this little spot of heaven!
The only thing we would have loved were more comfortable chairs at the terrace of our room, but that's about it.

I’m torn between paradise one earth and a home away from home… so if I just had to give a review (which would never equate the feeling): if you had friends telling you to be careful with food in the island: go to « Be Zanzibar». If you’ve never been on an adventure: this is the perfect place to start (even tho I don’t mind finishing too).
This one might be bad for workaholics like me: if you’ve never want to disconnect: you should absolutely go to Be Zanzibar ! (Between the vibes, good food and kite surfing classes, I’ve literally spent a whole day without checking my phone … CRAZY)
Everything about this place is magical !
What makes it truly special is the people behind it. Tarek, the owner, embodies passion for his HOME in a way that's genuinely moving. His gorgeous wife Alexandra brings warmth and grace that balances it. Their children, Kay and Jad(ou)😍 add to the sweetness and Camille's dedication and care throughout our stay was remarkable.
Beyond the team (and a special one for Salome and Khadija among SO MANY others🥰), the service, and the love can be felt in every details.
I’m a stubborn one so the patience is unmatched: I spent hours on the three house with their artist asking him to help me create what became the most beautiful painting (after years of pretending I might be good) I've ever made. You can find him under #thecolourboxtz on Instagram if you want to see what I mean … He’d one of the best spirit I’ve met !
This place is rest for the soul and healing for the heart ! After many trips, this is honestly the first time I has tears on my way to the airport !
I honestly can’t wait to be back !!!!!!
