The location, within a walking distance between the two main beaches.
The size of the room.
The host was not aware of us coming and the rooms where not ready when we arrived (although all was in line with our reservation).
Breakfast was not provided, not also as a complementary service as indicated on the website.
The host's communication abilities were low.

Located amongst all the expensive beach side resorts, this hotel offered real value for money. A few minutes walk from both Pasikuda and Kalkudah beaches (one wavey one calm) and close to restaurants, a shop, ATM etc. Good secure room with excellent aircon. Friendly staff.
Communication not the easiest with staff but they were very friendly and assisted us well with everything we needed. Room could have been cleaner but did the job for us.

The location and the comfortable room.
I tried to exit at 7am one morning but found the front entrance locked with no way to leave. Pasikudah Beach was effectively a private beach. Expensive resorts totally blocked access to the beach except via a road at the very western end of the beach. Kalkudah Beach was good though.

We enjoyed our stay and the family was very welcoming to us to join their Thai Pongal (new year) celebration. Excellent location, great place to stay! We would stay here again.
Beds were not super comfy and the language posed a problem when ordering coffee in the morning although the lady was super friendly.
