We loved everything about the cottage - from the "welcome basket" full of local products to the small details such as a pair of binocular to watch the birds from the kitchen window. The host was very quick to answer our questions/queries. The cottage has all the facilities and the comfort necessary for a great holiday.
There was nothing we did not like; honestly we cannot fault the property and the host.

Een prachtig huis, centraal gelegen. Fijn contact met de beheerder. Bij aankomst lagen er een paar locale producten klaar om ons welkom te heten. Mochten we terug op Orkney komen dan zeker in deze accommodatie!

Super clean and comfortable cottage. We enjoyed the large lounge, with two windows and comfy reclining seating. The cottage is extremely well-equipped, and everything looked new, including the flooring. We loved the comfy beds and the new bathroom with a superb shower. Also the spacious kitchen with the beautiful sea, sky, hill and sheep views! On our last night there was the most gorgeous sunset. We found our way down to the stunning nearby beach - nobody there but us!
The owner very kindly left us some delicious supplies. He was very responsive and helpful. The garden is very pretty and full of flowers.
Lastly, the house is in a perfect location to drive to all the archaelogical sights, as well as Stromness and Kirkwall.

The location was wonderful, quiet in the countryside with lovely views but also very close to many of the most wonderful historic sites in Orkney. The property was well furnished with everything you could need to a comfortable and pleasant stay.
A pity it didnt have a dish washer but everything else was so well thought through it didnt matter.
