We felt pampered at the Hotel Palace Portoroz. Service was kind and attentive to our needs. The breakfast was sensational with options for every palate. The vegan croissants were the best I've ever had (and I'm not vegan). We came in by bus so the location was great - very near the bus stop.
The only thing I didn't like was that our stay was only for one night. We'll be back!

Room (though we did pay for an upgrade)
Pool area. Huge disappointment. Outdoor pool, missing tiles, rusty fittings, mouldy grout, area around the pool dirty, not enough staff to tidy up after people left. Would say the pool area was 2* not 5. Gym had seemingly no air con. Breakfast was underwhelming for a 5* hotel. Not enough staff again. Not enough food options. The pool was the real let down.
