Home is a beautiful, updated home on two levels - perfect for a three generation stay! Grandparents stayed in the bedroom on the main floor next to the bathroom that featured a lovely walk in shower. Kitchen and dining areas were also on the main floor which had lovely views of the beach - when the fog wasn't in. (June gloom is a thing here.) The downstairs level was set up well for the 2 grandchildren and their parents - the kids (5 and 7) loved the bunk beds and the bathtub in the downstairs bathroom, while their parents slept well in the double bed in the downstairs bedroom after enjoying movies on the big screen in the downstairs family room. Walk to the beach wasn't too long for anyone - especially using the pedestrian shortcut from the corner of Cypress and Summer down to Beach - I think it was called Hummingbird Lane. And having a bench next to the hose to rinse off feet at the entrance to the downstairs unit was perfect. Note that the driveway for parking is on Park, whereas the main entrance is on Ocean View. There are stairs along the side of the house that lead from the driveway up to the Ocean View entrance - grandparents parked in front of the house on Ocean View to unload without having to go up and down the stairs.We also appreciated that the house was dog friendly so that the family dog could join us for our weekend birthday escape to the beach. It was nice to be on the coast while the heat blazed in the inland areas we drove from.Would love to stay again

Our recent stay at The Lookout was exceptional! The house is positioned perfectly, with the most amazing views of the Pacific while just a bit removed from the main drag for more privacy. The kitchen and house were exceptionally well-stocked with everything we could ever need, and we loved our little welcome basket! Communication with our host was near-instant, and we will definitely be looking at other rentals from this provider because they clearly understand how to make a vacation great. For just one example they offer a lot of add-ons if you're smart enough to take them, like a charcuterie board or private chef, activity ideas like massages, etc.! We will DEFINITELY get the charcuterie next time -- ooh la la luxury! If you are looking for a reliable, high-end stay at Dillon Beach for a great price, this is the place.
