This is by far the worst rental we have ever stayed in. We are dog lovers but the stench that hit us when we entered the house was unbearable. We thought we could bring in some of the nice fresh ocean breeze but the windows had signs that said not to open them because hardware was on order (the window cranks were missing). We had to open one of the doors, the other isn't working. There is grime/dust everywhere. The kitchen is well stocked but the items are in poor shape. We found knives with broken handles, melamine dishes that were peeling, cracked plastic glassware. There were 4 in our group & we only found 3 glasses that did not leak. Many of the lamps in the living room are not working so you have to resort to the overhead "canned" lights. We were a group of 4 (2 couples) & thought there were 2 rooms but the upstairs room is a loft completely open to the downstairs (you have to change in the closet). Mattresses have huge body indentations from long use so it's like sleeping in a ditch. The only positive things I can say about the place is that there are a lot of books & it's close to the beach but the view is marginal given the large clump of trees on the lot & the beach path is overgrown. We stayed 12 nights & did our best to make it livable by washing things we used in the kitchen, cleaned counters, wash bedding, but NOTHING could rid the overwhelming stink in the place, especially the upstairs loft. A very disappointing rental that would be nice if it was maintained.
