About this house rental
Open airy sea ranch less than a mile to ocean. Perfect bright huge kitchen opens to living room, rumpus room, bar area and screened in porch. Wake up in the morning to a sun drenched porch smell the ocean as you relax and sip your coffee and listen the birds as you gaze out over the lush garden. Bike or walk to beautiful Narragansett beach and dive into some of the cleanest clear water on the east coast. Come back to a lovely outdoor shower and play some bocce or croquet. Make some cocktails as you decide what you’ll grill for dinner with friends.

This was a perfect home base for our family leading up our son’s graduation from URI. We were close to our favorite places to celebrate, with easy access to campus, restaurants and the beach. We walked each morning down to the oceanside and enjoyed evenings at the house in the TV rec room and on the screened in porch. Highly recommend. And what a lovely touch to have a bouquet of roses upon arrival on the kitchen island wishing me a Happy Mothers Day!

We had a great time in this beautiful house. Susan, the owner is great. Only complaint ended up being that she asked us if we would be willing to water her plants every other day since the person who normally does it was on vacation. We said yes, but it turned out she had an enormous amount of flowers and plants, mainly outside but a number inside too. It ended up feeling like quite a big job that took time and we got wet everytime from the leakey hose. We obviously could just not have done it, but we didn’t want her plants to die. She did allow us to exchange the 45 pet fee for the watering (at my request), we had a dog. But in the end it felt like a bigger job than just for the 45., particularly when we were on vacation and didn’t want a job. I don’t believe Susan intended to inconvenience us, but unfortunately she did. Also the bed in the smaller of the two rooms with queen sized beds had a very squeaky frame that made noise to the point of waking you up ever time you turned over. We did accidentally break a kitchen bowl when we were cleaning up to leave, which we felt terrible about and were very sorry. Aside from those two before mentioned issues, it was lovely.

Our stay was amazing. The home was exactly what we were looking for, walking distance to the beach in a quiet neighborhood with a comfortable layout. The rooms were beautifully decorated and inviting. Everyone in our party had a place to enjoy a book, take a nap, or sip on a glass of wine. The screened-in porch was our favorite room to gather. We enjoyed our coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the evening. The central A/C worked perfectly to cool us down after a long day at the beach. There are so many restaurants within walking distance that we think we have gained 10 pounds. We will be back. Lastly, Susan was a great communicator and attentive host. She even left a beautiful bouquet and treats on our arrival.
