It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won't want to miss it.
The town of Palmetto Point, less than 10 minutes from the house, has several smaller stores and a good restaurant. There is also a new grocery store called Midway Cost Cutters just 5 minutes from Veselka, which has all the basics.

We loved the long, private drive through the heavily wooded property. The home was very comfortable, with nice furnishings throughout. The kitchen is remarkably well equipped. We cooked most meals in during our stay and never lacked anything. The views from the kitchen, living room, dining room and upstairs master are exceptional. The wraparound porch was well equipped for relaxing and taking in the view. Beach access is an easy few steps away. The property manager, Leslie, was very personable and efficient. Our experience with Eleuthera Vacation Rentals was great. Pam was knowledgeable about the area and gave great guidance and suggestions. Would definitely stay again and I highly recommend this property.

Excellent property with everything you need for a wonderful week. The views are amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked. Everything is spotless clean. We had an issue with the hot water the first day and the caretaker responded immediately. I would only recommend adding a lock to the front door so that it can be locked from inside. I was a bit nervous that anyone with the code could access the property. The beach access is easy, just a few steps down, but there are some rocks right in front so we just swam a bit to the left. The snorkeling was pretty good as well. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. Thanks.
