The front desk staff did not check us in properly so anytime we tried to charge something to the room they were not able to find our account. This lead to countless issues. At the family pool on the third morning they told us we could sit but “I will discuss this with management and if I can’t find your reservation you will be asked to leave”. I went to the residence services and they immediately fixed the problem. They were very apologetic but the damage was done. This was our third visit to this hotel (first post renovation) and the staff is overall less friendly and helpful.The food was delicious and the drinks are the best we have had anywhere! Top notch bartenders!! The pool was always comfortable, and chairs were easy to find. The beach is so close to the pool! The setup of the room is ideal for families. We were traveling with a one and 5 year old and we couldn’t be happier with the layout. The convenience of having a fridge and microwave was amazing. The unit was clean, but the coffee pot still had coffee grounds in it from the last guest. I messaged James prior to the visit and asked what type of crib the unit provided. My one year old is very large and I wanted her to be comfortable. I explained I was more than willing to rent my own but James said that wasn’t necessary. We showed up and had a very old, small crib with a dirty one inch mattress that had no sheets. The was extremely disappointing.

We have stayed at the Ritz Key Biscayne in the past and the resort is lovely. Lots of restaurants nearby and the beach is beautiful. The unit has so much potential, it's spacious and part of a beautiful property. Unfortunately, the unit was very dirty upon arrival and needs a lot of TLC. James was responsive and sent the cleaner back but the carpet and furniture need a deep clean, as well as the HVAC, shower, walls & baseboards (lots of stains on walls/baseboards and mold in the shower).
