The Boondocks Bungalow located in New Plymouth, Ohio. Renovated throughout with handmade, reclaimed wood accents and locally sourced artwork. This cottage sleeps 10 offering 2 private bedrooms, 2 full baths and well-equipped kitchen. Cozy up by the Seasonal Fireplace in the Fall or Winter and enjoy WiFi, TV, DVDs, board games or books. Rather be outdoors? Meander 18 acres of forest-covered trails. Enjoy bird watching, identify trees and flora, catch a glimpse of owl, fox or whitetail deer. Listen to bullfrogs sing by the large catch-and-release pond. Relax on the porch swing, enjoy the hot tub, or star gaze in the meadow with open-air fire pit. Secluded and quiet, an easy 10 minute drive from State Route 93, and less than 20 minutes from Route 33. Must be 25 years or older to rent. AWD/4WD recommended in all seasons. The pond was a gift after a day of fishing to fish a bit more. We enjoyed fishing Lake Hope, Dow Lake, Logan Lake, and the Hocking river. This location provided us a central means of travel; 30 minutes or less. The grounds were well groomed, the house clean, and a surprise visit from a raccoon as we sat around the fire-stand at night gave us something to talk about. We all enjoyed the house and the location.

We needed to buy toilet paper because there were seven men. The pond provided a relaxing opportunity too fish. The evening visit from a raccoon was a surprise. We were there to fish; Lake Hope, Dow Lake, Logan Lake, and the Hocking River. All were within 30 minutes away. We will visit there again. Many blessings

Very secluded and private which is awesome. Clean accommodations, mostly everything we needed we had provided. Plenty of space, 2 fire pits outside, nice big porch up front with seating and plenty of places to sleep. Will revisit!

Place was just ok. Kitchen is severely under supplied with pots/pans and no basic spices, oil or sugar. No Kleenex. Basement doesn’t have lights to get into the basement bedroom. No video games as pictured. House is extremely remote without cell phone service and no gas station or grocery store for at least 20 mins drive away. We felt we overpaid for the Memorial Day weekend for what we got.
