About this apartment rental
*** The City of Carlsbad is rebuilding the beach stairs across the street. There will be no construction activity during the summer. Construction will resume between Fall 2026 the the project estimated to be completed Sprint 2027. Nearest beach access is three blocks south off of Tamarack Avenue***
Our ocean view condo located in what we lovingly call Juniper Beach 1BR, is located steps away from a staircase leading down to the pristine beach of Carlsbad, CA. This unit is a one bedroom, one bathroom vacation retreat that sleeps two adults. As soon as you walk in the door the elegant beachy decor welcomes you to your beach vacation. When you are ready grab a boogie board or go surf. You will be on the beach and enjoying the water within minutes. If you prefer to explore on land, this home is known for it's "walkability" located walking distance to excellent restaurants such as Vigilucci's, Park 101, and many shopping options located in the Village. After a fun filled day, head back to your vacation rental to retire to your private second floor deck to watch beautiful sunsets go down over the Pacific Ocean nightly.
The Space
This unit is a one bedroom, one bathroom, ocean view unit located in beautiful Carlsbad, California. The home does have AC which is difficult to find in Carlsbad and has amazing ocean views.
The Living Room:
- Open concept living/dining/kitchen with elegant french doors along the south-facing wall to allow in natural light.
- Bright and sunny, ocean-view sitting area on deck
- Comfortable seating, a smart tv with access to live tv
- Wifi speed is fast, perfect for video calls for remote work or learning.
The Kitchen:
- Pristine all white color palette with gorgeous countertops and open shelving for easy to access kitchenware.
- Refrigerator, gas stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher
- Cookware, glassware, dinnerware and utensils
- Toaster, blender and other cooking gadgets
- Traditional drip coffee maker to get you started for the day.
The Dining Room:
- Enjoy the view as you dine in the tastefully decorated dining area with seating for two
The Main Suite:
- Queen sized bed with comfortable mattress and pillows
- Clothing storage in closet and cabinetry
Main Bathroom:
- White tiled flooring with step-in bath shower tub combo.
- All bathrooms are equipped with plush towels, toilet paper, hand soap, hair dryer, quality shampoo products, and hand soap
South Facing Ocean View Outdoor Deck:
- Private second floor deck with views of the Pacific
- Seating for two under awning.
Shared Outdoor Courtyard
- Seating for 14 with tables for outdoor dining
- Gas grill available for guest to use
- Ambient sounds provided by a water fountain
- Hot/Cold outdoor shower to rinse off sand after you return from the beach
Other Amenities:
- Beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards
- Washing machine and dryer with laundry detergent
- Pack 'n Play setup available as an add-on for $35 + tax, or upgrade to the Pack 'n Play + High Chair setup for $55 + tax.

This property is professionally managed by Haustay Vacation Rentals who will always be available for any guest inquiries.
Located along Carlsbad Boulevard known for its good beach break surf out front of the house and fun tidal pools for the kids to explore at low tide just south in the Terramar area.
Car is not required due to the great walkability of the location and easy access to car services such as Uber and Lyft.
Quiet hours outdoors start at 9PM. No parties are allowed. No Pets. No smoking or vaping.

I enjoyed my stay. The place was clean when I arrived. The parking was convenient and easy. It had a nice little outdoor balcony where I was able to sit and watch the waves. The host was prompt and helpful when I had questions about internet. All in all the property was as advertised. I would come and stay there again.

The unit was nicely prepared, clean, and everything there that one could need. Easy access, check-in and check-out. The hosts responded without delay to questions I had about the property and even sent handyman to fix an outlet and replace light bulb. All and all, this was a nice property to stay in. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I was looking for a quiet get away - and this was far from quiet. The noise of traffic on Carlsbad Boulevard was not peaceful. I tried to enjoy the outdoor patio facing Carlsbad Boulevard and it was not pleasant due to the traffic. It was also a working retreat for me and I would have loved to leave the balcony french doors opened during the day but too noisy. I did get to enjoy the balcony early morning for coffee when it wasn't so loud - that was nice.
