Welcome to Cameron's Cottage at The Lake, a cozy 2-bedroom retreat tucked in the Top of the World community near Lake in the Sky and the Great Smoky Mountains in Tallassee, TN. It's the perfect spot to unwind, breathe in the mountain air, and enjoy nature.
You'll find everything you need here: air conditioning to keep you cool, a BBQ grill for outdoor meals, and a fully equipped kitchen ready for any cooking you'd like to do. There's also a TV for when you want to relax indoors.
In the evenings, gather around the private fire pit for a peaceful night under the stars. With free parking and Wi-Fi throughout the cottage, you'll have a stress-free stay from start to finish.
The beach is just a 2-minute drive away, perfect for swimming, fishing, or simply taking in the view. Lake and recreation access is available through the Top of the World community's members card, which is easy to obtain on-site. And despite feeling worlds away, you're only 35–45 minutes from McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) — making this cozy escape easier to reach than it feels.

The cabin isn’t actually on the lake, or you don’t have a view of it too goo. This cabin is literally on top of the world! Lots of winding narrow roads up the mountain in order to get to it. There is not any stores or places to eat close by so definitely pack food or eat before you get to the cabin. Overall was very nice place to stay and away from the city.

Cabin was very cozy, mattress in the room with the larger might need to be upgraded. You can feel the support boards through mattress. I’m not sure if the cabin next to us was also people staying for the weekend or if they own it, but it was very obvious he was recording us for some reason when we first got there, that was off putting. This was my first time coming into the mountains. I wish there would have been a disclaimer somewhere of which road we should avoid. After we got used to the steep inclines and sharp turns going up the mountain we were ok. If you’re someone who has never been into the mountains I would say avoid butterflygap as your first drive up until you get used to it. Overall Lake in the sky is truly a magical place the screened in porch is also super cozy as well.

It is a cottage at the top of a mountain, complete with mountain roads and beautiful views no matter which way is taken to get there. The cottage feels bigger than it looks and everything was cozy and nicely done. It was not the height of the season for the area I think, so it was quiet and peaceful. We all enjoyed spending time there between family visits.

The cottage was immaculate and the surroundings were perfectly bucolic! The owners and property manager were super helpful in ensuring a lovely stay.
