About this cottage rental
In beautiful Bonnet Shores, a close walk from private Kelly Beach, you will find this Scandinavian-inspired summer cottage. Located at the top of the cliff, this newly renovated home has it all. It features a large kitchen (all new appliances and custom banquette), a serene living room (70" TV), luxurious bathrooms, three bedrooms (all with ocean views) and a spacious yard with a dining area and outdoor shower.
Our cottage is centered around a large bright kitchen perfect for family-style dining. You will find everything you need to cook your favorite meal or bake something sweet — feel free to use the basics as well as try some of our favorite recipes. The long kitchen table features a custom-built bench and rattan chandelier. We store a Trip Trapp child chair and a high chair for use if needed and have a kid-friendly dining set. The Bluetooth speaker is easy to connect your devices to for music and listening. The entry area has a full-size washer and dryer and large cabinet for hanging outdoor gear.
The living room has a comfortable couch and extra seating so everyone can gather. The TV is connected to hi-speed internet for easy streaming with your favorite subscriptions. Our game cabinet has some great games and is also stocked with toys/activities for younger ones. Off the living room is a sunroom set-up with a work station and featuring a wonderful breeze.
Our first-floor half bath has been designed with classic wallpaper from Sweden, brass fixtures and a large sink that is easy to use.
In the upstairs hall you will find a small custom-built nook – a nice place to read a book or enjoy a moment of silence. All the bedrooms have ocean views and AC with private zones. We also installed room darkening blinds in each room and there are refinished hardwood floors throughout the home.
The master bedroom features a king-size bed, three windows, a large dresser, and a closet. There are also extra hooks and plenty of space to set up a Pack and Play. Our second bedroom has two twin beds, an antique dresser, and a closet. The third bedroom has a queen bed, a closet with built-in drawers and a fold-out ironing board.
The upstairs bathroom features custom tile-work and a large walk-in shower with a separate hand-held nozzle great for washing little ones. The two-drawer vanity has space for storage.
Outside the house are many spots to relax, play and entertain. Off the kitchen is a back deck with chairs for relaxing. There is a large dining table for enjoying an outside meal in the evening sun and the ocean breeze. We have a small outdoor fire pit for making s’mores or enjoying a fire, as well as a propane BBQ grill. The area feels private with established plantings and a custom-built outside shower (including a changing cubby) — the best place after a day at the beach. There is a small plastic splash pool for children as well.
Surrounding the house is a flat yard with plenty of space for games. Why not try Kubb (a traditional Viking game) or play some soccer or croquet. In the shade of the large birch tree, we set up a café-style table –this is our favorite spot for a morning coffee.
In the garage, easily accessible via indoor button, you will find beach chairs, beach toys, a beach cart and outdoor games – everything you need for a perfect beach stay!
Rental includes a beach pass to access beautiful Kelly Beach! The beach is a quick walk or about 0.3 miles away (G maps).

This house is well maintained, especially the kitchen where we spent much of our time. The master bedroom was spacious, while the other bedrooms were nice, but on the small side. The main bathroom is beautiful, and there's a 1/2 bath on the main floor. We wish there was more seating in the living room and sunroom, and that the TV had cable access. Kelly beach is only about 8 minutes away. The owners provide beach supplies and a wagon to tote them. The outside shower for when we returned from swimming was terrific! There's a good grill outside along with a table for dining and a firepit for relaxing. This is a lovely home and we enjoyed our stay.

The house was pristine upon arrival with a very nice welcome note from the hosts. It was a very short walk to the Bonnet Point rocks and Kelly Beach. As advertised the kitchen was a great central room with plenty of seating to have a family dinner and chat. It was nice to see a modern update to one of the classic cottages in the area done so well. We will definitely consider the home again if we return to Bonnet Shores.
