The property has a large beautiful backyard for relaxation or play. Wildlife on the property consists of wild turkeys, barbary sheep, deer, and peacocks. Visit museums in nearby Lincoln. Capitan, NM, home of the famous Smokey Bear, is within 20 miles. Ruidoso and Ski Apache are within 40 miles of home.

Our third stay. New Mexico history comes alive here. It feels like we are guests of Sheriff Brady in the 1870s. We saw turkeys, peacocks, wild goats and pigs. Lots of birds. There is a pond fed by a natural spring. I got the feeling of the way our ancestors lived in this wonderful mountain retreat. Can't wait to return.

The host was very responsive and welcoming. The area is beautiful and relaxing perfect to spend a birthday or a holiday here this is a great place for anyone who appreciates on older home that is preserved and for someone who likes the outdoors and doesn’t mind to drive a long distance.

Great place!!! We had the most amazing Christmas!!!! Great place to create family memories we enjoyed the nice weather, will be booking for the summer!! Becca was available and quick answering any questions we had, house is enchanted for sure !! Thank you very much for sharing your home with us!
