I know things are a bit different in fishing and hunting areas. We weren’t in our cabin much. Positive- host is quite pleasant and onsite. Negative- please give the refrigerator a good cleaning. Also need a corkscrew. Railroad tracks are super close but didn’t bother us for sleeping. Had instructions for Wi-Fi. But no router. You’ll have to walk outside and go closer to the owners home. Previous review states bad water pressure. It was fine. Thank you

This site would be ok for fishing getaway - would not recommend for family or couples thinking a romantic get away-not Older very rustic- furniture old with lots of use & some tears. Trains are within 50’ or so directly behind the cabin & yes! The trains ran every few hours & very noisy. Yes- even during the nite.

Cabin was as advertised, rustic but with all necessary amenities. Owner was very prompt and cooperative in answering my inquiries. Location was very serene and quiet.

Driving over the railway tracks and seeing the neglected property for the first time was depressing. Our cozy cabin was a derelict trailer. The inside seemed rustic and quaint at first. But it was hot. When we went to open windows, we were greeted by a graveyard of dead flies. When we turned on the manual fans, clumps of dust balls flew out. When we opened the fridge to chill our water, we found a mouse dropping and food crud inside. When we opened the freezer, it was full of someone else’s food. When we turned on the tap water, a sewage smell came out. When we went to wash our hands, there was long, grey hair stuck all over the dispenser. We couldn’t set our items down until we cleaned the sticky surfaces on the counters and coffee table. We couldn’t sit down because the dining chairs had chunks of food on them. We used our own cleaning supplies…because even their cleaning supplies were dirty. Everything inside was SO icky and SO unwelcoming. Relaxing outside was equally unwelcoming. The deck was decrepit and the “view” consisted of all sights you would see on a rundown, trash-filled, neglected property. There was no access to the lake. We decided go to bed and get a good sleep, so we could leave early. But our beds were child-sized bunk beds…not what a mature couple would find relaxing. We brought in our own bedding, thinking we’d make the best of it and get some sleep anyway. Nope. The train right outside the window, runs every few hours, screeching it’s brakes. IT WAS BAD

lazy boy chairs to relax in living room , open kitchen, beach, big back yard with fire pit , bbq on deck nice mature trees walking trails close to town 10 min drive west full service town dryden ont provincial park close by with a beach on thunder lake our cabin is wabigoon lake
