I had a really nice stay here, especially considering the very affordable price. The room was simple but comfortable, with a well-working AC and a comfortable bed. The biggest highlight is definitely the location. it’s literally just seconds away from the beach! 🏖️ The beach was beautiful and perfect for swimming and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with a special mention to Rajee, who assisted me with most things during my stay. He was always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help, which made my experience even better. I also really liked that they have a diving school on-site, which seems to be trusted by many people who come here for diving. There are shops nearby as well, very near the fort frederick, and it’s easy to get a tuk-tuk to Fernando’s Market, which is around a 10–15 minute ride away.
The main area that could be improved is the bathroom, as there was no sink, and the cleanliness could be slightly better. Overall, a great budget-friendly place if you want to stay right by the beach, with friendly staff, diving facilities, and a very convenient location.

Almost on the beach as it is a Dive Center. Very flexible with checkin & check out times as there were no other guests. Room was very cosy, the bed linen was clean. Air con & fan was working great. The plug points for changing phones were also functional. Staff is very helpful with stowing our extra equipment within the property.
We had to share the washroom and toilets with other guests. The toilet could have been cleaner and it would have been better if there was an expeller fan to dry the toilet. Sometimes we had to stay in line in order to use the bathroom. Bedroom was very small but the hosts have tried to make it feel very cozy. There was no windows to the outside but one only opened into the small hall which overlooks the main doorway. All in all can’t complain about it but I guess the room change is quite low cos of the above mentioned points.

I think one the best times I had overall in Sri Lanka was at trapobane, the guys that worked there became like family to us❤️ Made a bumfire twice in the evening, they cooked a fish for us that we caught and had so many good laughs. Everything asked can be arranged and the diving and all other water activities were perfect en really well priced. Again, loved our stay a lot and much love to Trapobane.
