We were nervous about traveling all the way to Trincomalee but Port Royal exceeded our expectations and the staff went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable. The room is spacious, comfortable and built/designed really well. It is walking distance to a convenience store and Babos which is great for food if you don’t want to go too far and a short tuk ride to Fernando’s. The staff is very friendly and accommodating - big thank to the housekeeper I forget her name now but she took very good care of us for our whole stay. Would definitely visit again and best wishes to the property on their plans for the future
The bathroom does get wet when you shower but dries up quickly in the Trincomalee heat anyways. One improvement I would suggest is getting duvets for your rooms - it is already very comfortable but a duvet would make it even better
